Dreams Come True

Senior Dreams DO Come True!
These dreams came true for the following individuals. And with your continued support we can make sure many more come true, too.

2006 Dreams

Dorothy L.
Dream Granted: January 2006

Dorothy L. needed material to make patchwork curtains for her home. We hunted for some material and delivered it to her so she could make her curtains of many colors. Then we realized she had no flooring in her bathroom. We arranged for a new floor to be laid.

Maxine T.
Dream Granted: January 2006

Maxine T. and Bev were friends. Bev wanted Maxine to have a special day. A reception was arranged with family and friends. This provided a chance for Maxine to reminisce with old friends and loved ones.

Grace J.
Dream Granted: March 2006

Grace J. wanted to get back into her home; however her family was concerned about her bathroom floor. We went to check out the problem and found a much larger problem. There had been a leak in her gas stove and the house was filled with natural gas. Grace, having no sense of smell, was unaware of the leak. Since her neighbor had already fixed her bathroom floor, Grace’s wish quickly changed to a new stove.

Martha O.
Dream Granted: September 2006

Martha O. is a quadriplegic and missed working with a computer. Her dream was to receive a computer program, which would allow her to work with the computer again. We did some research and learned about a program which is voice activated and would allow Martha the joy of surfing the net from her wheelchair. We got her what she needed and she’s off and surfing like never before.

Cecila R.
Dream Granted: September 2006

Celia R.’s caretaker, Tina, was concerned about Celia’s bathroom floor. From many years of water damage,
the floor joist had rotted leaving limited support. When standing in the bathroom, the basement could be seen through a large hole behind the stool. Celia was in danger of falling through her bathroom floor to the basement. We were able to get a new toilet, walk-in shower and repair the floor down to the joist. Celia is safe in her bathroom now!

Evelyn H.
Dream Grated: November 2006

Evelyn H. is an avid Cubs fan. She was turning 100 and her family thought we could help make her birthday more complete by contacting the Cubs organization to request a card, personally autographed photos or anything
they felt would help Evelyn have a very special 100th birthday. So we did just that. The Cubs organization was wonderful! They provided a whole box full of goodies. Evelyn had a ball showing off her special gifts.

David S.
Dream Grated: December 2006

David S. was battling cancer and was losing the battle. He wanted to make sure his family had insurance. The premium was due, but the money was nowhere to be found. His dream was for the premium to be paid so his family would be taken care of after his death. We paid the premium and provided his children with a few
Christmas gifts each.
